Copenhagen Ranked No.1 in Green Cities List

Copenhagen is known for its environmentally friendly gesture and the steps it has been taking to carbon emission free. A new survey has confirmed this further by ranking the capital city of Denmark as the world leader in terms of its green and clean economy. The 2012 Global Green Economy Index (GGEI), has placed Copenhagen in No 1rank in Green Cities List. Denmark   GGEI measures and studies green city reputations. This is done by international consultants, Dual Citizen Inc. The consultancy ranks perceptions of green performance among cities of 27 countries.   Survey confirms Copenhagen's ongoing and extensive efforts for environmental sustainability. Denmark has very strict guidelines for Danish Green Key certification, but still most of Danish hotels have official eco-certificates.   Steps towards Green Environment Copenhagen has already been termed as the European Green Capital 2014. The city is also the place for various meetings it hold related to the world's first eco-certified European Union presidency.
